We want kids to see tech in a whole new light, as a medium for self expression and as a means to change the world. In combination with introducing them to concepts like design thinking and the engineering process, we'd love to explore how 3D modelling and printing could potentially help conflict affected youth into building better communities.
In our increasingly technological world, it's important that we're equipping kids with the skills they need to navigate the world we live in today and thrive in the future. It gives them a chance to learn real world skills like perseverance, problem solving and team work. Through project based learning they learn to see failure in a positive light and as an opportunity to learn.
PrintLab is a very well designed and intuitive platform. There are so many different subject areas for kids to explore which helps them understand how limitless the applications of 3d printing are.
It's such a rewarding experience to see how excited kids get when they learn the possibilities of 3d fabrication are endless! It can seem a bit intimidating at first but PrintLab is a great resource for getting started and covers pretty much everything about getting it set up in the classroom.
