The Learning Platform
The course learning platform takes you through a range of informative content and tutorial videos to guide you in manipulating mesh data to repair broken artefacts.
In this project, you’ll undertake a series of design challenges to fix broken artefacts using 3D scan data and Tinkercad or Fusion 360 software. After an initial introduction to 3D scanning for preservation and restoration, you will participate in tutorial videos to guide you through 4 challenges. The aim of the challenges is to teach you mesh modelling skills, as well as educate you about the opportunities of 3D scanning and 3D printing for cultural heritage. *With thanks to MyMiniFactory for allowing us to use STL files from their Scan the World initiative.
